Explosions Hit Iran's Bushehr and Konarak Military Sites on July 10; U.S. Denies Involvement

Multiple explosions struck military facilities in Iran's Bushehr and Konarak regions on Thursday (July 10), according to Iranian official media. A military headquarters in Bushehr was hit by projectiles, while Konarak, home to a key naval base, came under attack in two waves. However, U.S. Defense officials stated the military did not conduct any airstrikes during the recent hours. Former U.S. Marine Corps officer Dan Grazier noted that if the latest strikes were not American, "Israel could indeed be behind them."

Meanwhile, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz faced significant disruptions. Lloyd's List Intelligence reported vessel traffic declined sharply, with tracked ships on the U.S.-coordinated Oman route nearly at a standstill. Maritime intelligence company Kpler noted traffic fell from 36 to 23 vessels, with some ships rerouting northward near Larak Island to avoid risk.
