According to Jin10 data from July 13, European jet fuel inventories totaled 38 million barrels as of early June, covering less than 30 days of demand, according to Energy Aspects data released June 18. With escalating Middle East tensions increasing supply disruption risks, the U.K., France, and Germany face acute shortages. Europe faces a projected third-quarter supply deficit of around 600,000 barrels per day, while the U.S. and Asia-Pacific regions show surpluses of 116,000 and 425,000 barrels per day, respectively.
International Energy Agency data through May showed jet fuel inventories grew 10 percent year-over-year while refinery output increased 30 percent. Analyst Janiv Shah stated, "Based on current developments, we anticipate market tightness will persist through August."
