EU to Ban Privacy Coins and Anonymous Accounts Under New AML Rules from July 2027

According to CryptoNews, the EU will implement revised anti-money laundering (AML) regulations effective July 10, 2027, requiring crypto asset service providers (CASPs) to ban anonymous accounts and services related to privacy coins. The new rules mandate stricter Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for transactions exceeding 1,000 euros. Additionally, the EU has set a 10,000 euro (approximately $11,500) limit on commercial cash payments in the bloc.
