According to Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin, Ethereum will evolve into a fully zero-knowledge proof-based protocol within 3 to 5 years, enhancing composability between the mainchain and Layer 2 solutions. Lubin supports a "Rollup-centric roadmap" and highlighted the "Lean Ethereum" initiative, which aims to achieve over 10,000 transactions per second while maintaining high decentralization and enabling privacy and quantum-resistant solutions.

Lubin also clarified that Ethereum Foundation will not establish a "second foundation," instead continuing to focus on core protocol development, usability, and scaling, while supporting the separation of at least three independent teams to concentrate on protocol, user experience, and institutional expansion efforts.
