ECB to Cancel 40 Banking Regulatory Documents on June 26 as Part of Burden Reduction

According to ECB Executive Board member Elderson, on Friday, June 26, the European Central Bank will phase out approximately 40 regulatory guidance documents targeting banks as part of its effort to reduce supervisory burden. The ECB has reviewed over 130 such documents, making them more concise and user-friendly. The canceled documents are either outdated, superseded by new regulations, or no longer applicable, while others have been revised.
