East African Community Member States Agree on Emergency Measures to Combat Ebola Outbreak on June 4

According to CCTV News, on June 4, health ministers from eight East African Community member states agreed on emergency regional measures to combat an Ebola outbreak. The organization instructed member states to implement surveillance and control measures in affected areas, entry points, and border regions in accordance with World Health Organization protocols. The East African Community will establish a regional technical working group to coordinate response to the current outbreak.
