DRAM Will Account for 30%-40% of Data Center Capex in 2027, Says Atreides' Baker

According to Odaily, Gavin Baker, founder and chief investment officer of Atreides Management, stated during a recent All In podcast episode that DRAM remains the most critical bottleneck in AI infrastructure, as memory capacity and bandwidth are foundational to all AI model performance. Baker noted that in 2027, DRAM could account for 30% to 40% of all hyperscale data center capital expenditure, with only three companies—SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron—capable of producing DRAM for AI servers.
