According to Phoenix Finance, DeepSeek completed its first funding round on May 28, with a pre-money valuation of $45 billion and funding size of $10 billion, led by the China National Integration Circuit Industry Investment Fund (the country's state-owned semiconductor investment vehicle). The round, which marks the three-year-old AI large language model company's first external fundraising, is expected to close by end of May. According to media reports from May 22, if completed successfully, DeepSeek will become the largest first-round fundraising among Chinese AI large model companies.
