Cursor Launches Composer 2.5, Claims 10x Efficiency Boost Over Comparable Models

According to Cursor’s announcement on May 19, the AI startup unveiled Composer 2.5, describing it as its most powerful model to date. The model is claimed to be 10 times more efficient than comparable models while offering improved capability in handling long-context tasks and following complex instructions.

Cursor is collaborating with SpaceX AI to train a larger-scale model using 10 times more total compute power, leveraging Colossus 2’s million H100 equivalent compute and both companies’ data and training techniques.
