Crypto Industry Leaders Urge Senate to Preserve Developer Protections in Clarity Act

According to CoinDesk and Odaily, multiple crypto industry founders, CEOs, and investors recently sent a joint letter to Senate leadership urging lawmakers not to weaken developer protection provisions in the Clarity Act. The letter warned that removing these safeguards could cause the U.S. to lose relevant technology developers. The Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA), a key component of the bill, specifies that writing open-source software, running nodes, or assisting transaction validation—without controlling others' funds—should not classify developers as money transmitters under federal law.
