China's STAR Board Index Surges 3.84% as Semiconductor Stocks Rally on June 18

According to financial market data, on June 18, China's STAR Board Index (科创50) jumped 3.84%, while the ChiNext Index rose 2.05% and the Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.94%. The Shanghai Composite Index declined 0.43%. Trading volume across Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges reached 3.31 trillion yuan, increasing by 218.3 billion yuan compared to the previous trading session. Semiconductor-related stocks led gains, with Cambricon Technologies surging over 14% to reach an all-time high, while CPO concept stocks and PCB sector stocks also strengthened. In contrast, the financial sector weakened, with several major banks and insurance companies declining.
