China's Shengli Jiyang Shale Oil Demonstration Area Hits 2 Million Tons Cumulative Output on May 26

According to Sinopec, China's Shengli Jiyang shale oil demonstration area, the country's first onshore continental rift basin shale oil national demonstration zone, reached cumulative production of 2 million tons on May 26. Annual output climbed to 700,000 tons in 2025 from an initial 131,000 tons, with 59 producing wells achieving peak daily production exceeding 100 tons, with the highest reaching 263 tons per day.
