China's Retail Oil Prices Set to Fall 475-500 Yuan/Ton on June 18, First Back-to-Back Decline of Year

GAS-3.79%
According to Chuangxin Information, as of June 16, China's retail oil prices are expected to decline significantly on June 18, marking the first consecutive week-on-week drop this year. The crude oil change rate stood at negative 10.72%, with estimates pointing to a 475-500 yuan/ton reduction in gasoline and diesel prices. The decline follows a broad selloff in crude oil prices sparked by progress toward a Middle East peace agreement. This marks the first time in 2026 that retail fuel prices have fallen for two consecutive adjustment cycles, reducing consumer fuel costs.
