China's National Meteorological Center Issues Orange-level Rainstorm Warning for July 10-11, with Some Areas Forecast Up to 800mm

On July 10 at 10 AM, China's National Meteorological Center issued an orange-level rainstorm warning for the period from 2 PM on July 10 through 2 PM on July 11, affecting parts of 15 regions including inner Mongolia's southeast, Jilin's central areas, Liaoning's west and north, Hebei's central-north, Beijing, Tianjin's north, Shanxi's northwest, Shaanxi's north, Gansu's east and south, Qinghai's east, Sichuan's west, Zhejiang's southeast, Fujian's northeast, and Taiwan. Heavy rainstorms are forecast for parts of southern Jilin, northern Liaoning, southern Gansu, central-north Hebei, eastern and southern Beijing, northern Tianjin, and Taiwan, with some areas in northeastern Beijing, northeastern Hebei, and central-north Taiwan potentially receiving extreme precipitation of 250-800mm. Short-duration heavy rainfall (20-50mm hourly, locally exceeding 80mm) and localized thunderstorms are also expected.
