China's Insurance Industry Pays Out RMB 260 Million for Rain Damage Across 7 Provinces as of May 26

According to CCTV News, on May 26, China's insurance industry has paid out and provisioned RMB 260 million for losses caused by heavy rain and flooding across Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi, and Chongqing. As of 11 a.m. on May 26, insurers received 42,000 claims with estimated losses of RMB 910 million across the seven provinces.
