According to Xinhua, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Kuulbayev on May 26 during a high-level meeting of the UN Security Council in New York. Wang expressed appreciation for Kuulbayev's attendance and reaffirmed mutual trust and support between the two countries. China pledged to advance bilateral cooperation, align development strategies, and strengthen international coordination. Wang also highlighted Kyrgyzstan's constructive role in the China-Central Asia mechanism and expressed strong support for Kyrgyzstan's hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit this year.
