According to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the country’s digital industry achieved revenue of 9.5 trillion yuan in the first quarter of 2026, up 12.9% year-over-year. Profit surged to 738 billion yuan, growing 23.6% compared to the same period last year, driven by strong gains in electronic information manufacturing. Internet-related services companies generated 502.7 billion yuan in revenue, up 10.6% YoY, with acceleration in computing infrastructure deployment supporting the sector’s expansion.
