China Will Support Private Enterprise Investment in Large Hydropower and Energy Storage During 15th Five-Year Plan

According to National Energy Administration deputy director Wan Jingsong at a press conference on June 26, China will expand private enterprise participation in major energy projects during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).

The NEA will issue investment guidelines for private enterprises in large-scale hydropower projects and support participation in nuclear power, oil and gas storage facilities, virtual power plants, charging infrastructure, and new energy storage projects.
