According to China's National Development and Reform Commission, announced on May 26, the country has made significant progress in providing basic public services at permanent residences. About three-quarters of basic public service items are now accessible to unregistered permanent residents holding residency permits. The enrollment ratio for migrant children in public schools or government-subsidized private schools has improved to 97%; additionally, more new urban residents gain access to subsidized public housing and social insurance, with cross-regional medical insurance coverage continuing to expand.
