China Delivers First Qilin-Class Submarine to Pakistan on May 9

According to China’s Defense Ministry spokesman Jiang Bin on May 9, the first Qilin-class conventional submarine built by China was delivered to Pakistan in Sanya. Pakistani President and Navy Chief of Staff attended the handover ceremony. The Defense Ministry stated this represents normal equipment cooperation between China and Pakistan and reflects their all-weather strategic partnership. The two militaries have strengthened collaboration across strategic communication, joint exercises, personnel training, and equipment technology.
