China-Chile Joint Economic Committee Holds 22nd Meeting on May 25, Marks 10-Year Strategic Partnership

On May 25, China's Vice Commerce Minister and International Trade Negotiation Representative Li Chenggang and Chile's Deputy Foreign Minister Estévez co-chaired the 22nd meeting of the China-Chile Joint Economic Committee in Beijing. The meeting marked the 10th anniversary of the two nations' comprehensive strategic partnership. Li said China aims to deepen practical cooperation through the committee mechanism, calling for Chile to provide a fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises. He also emphasized strengthening coordination in multilateral forums, supporting the World Trade Organization, and enhancing cooperation under APEC. Estévez stated that Chile highly values relations with China, noting that China is Chile's largest trading partner and important investment source. Chile is committed to deepening bilateral trade and investment cooperation at a higher level.
