CFTC: Speculators Reduce Gold Positions by 6,239 Contracts, Copper Hits 21-Week High

According to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), for the week of May 19, speculators reduced their net long positions in COMEX gold by 6,239 contracts to 94,388 contracts. Meanwhile, net long positions in COMEX copper increased by 1,476 contracts to 74,999 contracts, marking a 21-week high.

Net long positions in NYMEX platinum declined to 94,388 contracts, hitting a three-week low, while net short positions in NYMEX palladium reached 2,773 contracts, marking a seven-month high.
