CFTC Signs MOU with NHL to Protect Prediction Market Integrity on May 21

According to Foresight News, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the National Hockey League (NHL) formally signed a memorandum of understanding on May 21 to coordinate oversight of professional hockey prediction markets on CFTC-regulated exchanges. Under the agreement, both entities will designate representatives for regular communication and focus on preventing insider trading, fraud, and market manipulation. The NHL also stated it has established multi-layer market monitoring mechanisms and will work with partners to ensure market integrity.
