CFTC Appoints Blockchain Forensics Expert Donald Battle as Chief Data Innovation Officer

On June 15, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) appointed Donald Battle, a senior advisor at the SEC's Digital Asset Task Force, as Chief Data Innovation Officer (CDIO). According to CFTC Chair Michael Sellig, Battle brings extensive expertise in data science, blockchain forensics, application programming interfaces, and advanced artificial intelligence solutions. Battle will retain his CDIO role while stepping down from his Digital Asset Task Force advisory position. He previously served as FinCEN's Digital Asset Enforcement Officer and as a blockchain data advisor to the CFTC.
