According to hashrateindex.com data, Bitcoin's network hashrate fell 145 EH/s to 885 EH/s since May 28, 2026, with hashprice declining 26.96% to $28.26 per petahash per second over the same period. Elektron Energy CEO Rapha Zagury has called this Bitcoin's first historic "hashrate bear market," driven by unprofitable mining rigs shutting down as hashrate now sits roughly 25% below its September 2025 peak. A 10.76% difficulty reduction is projected for June 13, 2026, as mining fees remain below 1% of miner rewards.
