Binance Halts New Sign-ups in Four EU States from July 1 Over Failed MiCA License Application

According to CoinDesk, Binance announced on June 26 that it will stop accepting new registrations and limit certain services in France, Italy, Poland, and Spain starting July 1 after failing to secure a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license. The Abu Dhabi-headquartered exchange also withdrew its MiCA application in Greece and plans to seek authorization in another EU member state. Under MiCA regulations, providers without approval must cease or restrict their EU operations after the transition period ends on July 1, 2026. Competitor Kraken already holds MiCA authorization in Ireland, having received approval in June 2025.
