According to Bloomberg, Barclays raised its S&P 500 index target for 2026 from 7,650 to 7,800 points on June 23, with the upgrade implying a 4.4% upside from recent close levels. The firm, led by strategist Venu Krishna, also lifted its 2026 earnings-per-share forecast to $337 from $321, citing improved earnings prospects despite macro uncertainty. Barclays set its 2027 S&P 500 target at 8,800 points with an EPS goal of $389.
