According to Crypto.news, Australian New South Wales police seized 52.3 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $4.1 million USD (570 million Australian dollars), in an enforcement operation targeting dark web markets on May 9. The seizure represents one of the largest cryptocurrency asset confiscations in the country’s history. The action was part of an investigation that led to the identification of two male suspects, aged 39 and 41, who were charged with supplying prohibited drugs and transferring over 100,000 Australian dollars in dark web-related cryptocurrency.
