According to Arbitrum DAO’s voting snapshot, the Arbitrum DAO approved the release of 30,765.6 ETH (approximately $70 million) to DeFi United, an initiative established to mitigate the impact of the $292 million exploit on Kelp DAO last month. The proposal received 182.2 million votes in support, accounting for 90.96% of all voting power, making Arbitrum the largest donor to the recovery effort.
However, a May 1 court order has restricted Arbitrum DAO from moving the recovered funds. Multiple plaintiffs from terrorism judgments against North Korea sought to claim the frozen ETH as restitution, citing suspected involvement by the Lazarus Group in the April 18 Kelp DAO attack. Aave has filed an emergency motion to challenge the ruling.
