According to Jin10, Apple is making a historic shift in its Mac chip strategy. The company is currently at the M5 generation and plans to launch the entry-level M6 processor as early as this year. However, Apple will skip the high-end M6 variant and jump directly to the M7 series, with Pro and Max versions launching in 2027. The new M7 chips will feature stronger computing and graphics capabilities, aimed at meeting growing demand for on-device AI features and graphics-intensive software.
