Amazon CEO Jassy Expressed Concerns Over Anthropic's AI Models This Week, Prompting Trump Administration Export Controls

According to sources familiar with the communications, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy joined other tech executives this week in expressing safety concerns about Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models to Trump administration officials. The concerns prompted the Trump administration to issue new export control measures on Friday, June 13, restricting access to the two models for non-U.S. users. Anthropic subsequently suspended all user access to the models to comply with the new regulations.
