According to ChainCatcher, Aave co-founder Stani Kulechov announced on June 26 that the protocol is expanding into traditional assets, planning to launch securities collateral lending and securities lending services.

Aave executive Luigi D'Onorio DeMeo highlighted that the global securities lending market holds approximately $4.6 trillion in borrowed securities with annual revenues around $35 billion, but most returns are captured by brokers and platforms such as Robinhood and Schwab. Aave plans to enable users to deposit tokenized stocks like AAPL and TSLA directly on-chain as collateral or lendable assets, capturing full lending yields.
