a16z Officially Establishes Seoul Office, Initial Focus on Crypto

According to Chosun Biz, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) officially opened its Seoul office on June 15, about six months after announcing its Asia expansion plan in December last year. The office will initially focus on the crypto sector and later expand to other areas.

Park Sung-mo, newly appointed as a16z's crypto Asia-Pacific go-to-market lead, will be based in Seoul. Drawing on his experience at Naver and Monad Foundation, he will support a16z portfolio companies entering the Korean and Asian markets.
