According to XRP Ledger Operations, the team released version 3.2.0 on June 16, with the core server software officially rebranded from rippled to xrpld. The rebrand reinforces the distinction between Ripple the company and the XRP Ledger as a decentralized, community-driven blockchain network.
The upgrade requires migration steps for node operators, as configuration files, binary names and database directory paths are all affected. The development team released a migration guide and encouraged infrastructure providers to back up relevant files before upgrading. Alongside the rebrand, the release retires legacy amendments active for over two years and introduces the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment package addressing Single Asset Vaults, Lending Protocol and other ecosystem components.
