According to RippleXity, the XRP Ledger integrated zero-knowledge privacy on May 12, 2026, becoming the first public blockchain with a native privacy layer built for institutional use. DNAOnChain executed the first ZK proof transaction on XRPL testnet on March 25, 2026, verifying genomic data on-chain without exposing sensitive information. The integration of Boundless in April brought native ZK proof verification directly to the protocol layer, enabling banks to prove KYC compliance without revealing client identities and treasurers to verify fund sufficiency without exposing balances.
Separately, Ripple announced a $200 million debt facility from Neuberger Specialty Finance to support Ripple Prime, the institutional prime brokerage platform. The facility will increase margin capacity and capital efficiency for institutional clients. Ripple Prime, acquired for $1.25 billion in 2025, has tripled revenue year-over-year since acquisition. Major institutions including SBI Holdings, Zand Bank, Archax, and Guggenheim Treasury Services have collectively deployed over $550 million across XRPL ecosystem initiatives.
