According to Xinhua, a wildfire erupted in southern France's Hérault and Aude departments on July 1, with a burn area reaching 800 hectares by evening. The fire originated in the Beaufort region of Hérault before spreading into Aude. As of the report, hundreds of firefighters, six fire-fighting aircraft, and one helicopter were deployed for suppression efforts.
