Venezuela Hit by 7.5 Magnitude Earthquake on June 24, US Issues Tsunami Warning

According to the Colombian Geological Service, a 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Venezuela's northern coast on June 24 at 5:04 p.m. local time. The epicenter was located at 10.89°N, 67.74°W, with a depth of less than 30 kilometers.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 7.1-magnitude earthquake near the Moron region of Venezuela and subsequently issued a tsunami threat alert through the U.S. tsunami warning system. No casualties or property damage have been reported.
