U.S. Treasury Yields Rise 6 Basis Points to 4.5% as Iran Pauses Talks on June 1

According to BlockBeats, on June 1, U.S. Treasury yields surged amid signs of stalled peace negotiations between the United States and Iran, raising concerns that higher energy costs could fuel inflation and prompt Federal Reserve rate hikes. The 10-year Treasury yield climbed about 6 basis points to around 4.5%, while the 2-year yield also rose 6 basis points to 4.07%. Crude oil prices jumped over 7%.

Swap markets now fully price in one rate hike by March 2027, with traders assigning a 50% probability of an earlier increase in October.
