U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve Releases Record 1.22M Barrels Per Day in Week Ended May 8

According to Bloomberg, the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve released a record 1.22 million barrels per day in the week ended May 8, bringing total inventory to 384.1 million barrels. The weekly drawdown of 8.6 million barrels exceeded the previous record of 8.4 million barrels set on September 9, 2022.
