U.S. Stock Markets Eye Samsung Earnings, FOMC Minutes This Week; SK Hynix ADR Targets $30B Nasdaq IPO

According to Yonhap Infomax, U.S. stock markets this week (July 6-10) will focus on Samsung Electronics' Q2 earnings, Federal Reserve minutes, and economic data. Samsung's earnings are expected to show Q2 revenue of 174.17 trillion won and operating profit of 84.78 trillion won. FOMC minutes release on July 8 will reveal the Fed's stance on inflation under new Chair Kevin Warsh. SK Hynix plans to raise up to $30 billion through its Nasdaq ADR listing on July 10.

Recent volatility in semiconductor stocks—including a Philadelphia Semiconductor Index drop of over 11% after Meta's signals of computing resource sales—has partially reversed, with Samsung and SK Hynix rebounding over 8-10% in early Asia trading on July 3. Strategists noted semiconductor fundamentals remain strong amid ongoing AI infrastructure demand.
