Iran Retains 75% of Ballistic Missile Launchers Despite Strikes, Can Sustain 3-4 Months Under Blockade: CIA

According to BlockBeats citing U.S. officials, the CIA assessed on May 7 that Iran can sustain at least three to four months under a U.S. naval blockade before facing severe economic hardship. Despite weeks of intensive U.S. and Israeli strikes, Iran maintains approximately 75% of its pre-war mobile missile launcher inventory and about 70% of its missile stockpile.

U.S. officials noted Iran has recovered and reactivated nearly all underground storage facilities, repaired damaged missiles, and assembled new ones that were near completion before the conflict. Iran is also storing oil on tankers that would otherwise remain idle due to the blockade and reducing field production to maintain operational capacity, suggesting CIA estimates of Iran’s economic resilience may be conservative.
