U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls to Release on June 5 Amid Middle East Tensions

The U.S. Department of Labor will release May non-farm payrolls (NFP) on June 5 at 8:30 a.m. ET. NFP, which tracks employment changes across all sectors except agriculture, is the most closely watched labor indicator. The release comes as U.S.-Iran ceasefire negotiations have stalled, and uncertainty over Middle East tensions could amplify market volatility if data misses expectations, potentially triggering recession concerns. Earlier in the week, the U.S. will release May services PMI on June 3 and weekly jobless claims on June 4.
