According to South China Morning Post, the U.S. House of Representatives passed its annual National Defense Authorization Act this year, with Section 163 prohibiting the Pentagon from acquiring, leasing, or operating humanoid robot systems linked to China, Russia, Iran, and other "foreign adversaries" over national security and data privacy concerns. The restriction currently applies only to military procurement and does not extend to commercial sales.
