U.S. Government to Provide Up to $500M for Coal Power and Export Projects, June 4

According to Xinhua, on June 4, the U.S. government announced it will provide up to $500 million to support domestic coal-fired power plants in expanding capacity and upgrading infrastructure, as well as constructing new coal export facilities. The Department of Energy said it will allocate the funding under the Defense Production Act to 12 coal-fired power generation projects and one coal seaport export terminal project.
