US Dollar Index Falls to 101.167 on July 22, Pressured by Rising Oil Prices

According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 22, the US dollar index fell to 101.167, down 0.012% from the previous close, amid limited progress in US-Iran tension easing and rising oil prices. Western Texas Intermediate crude for September delivery traded near $87 per barrel, up approximately 3%, driven by geopolitical concerns and potential shipping disruptions. The euro gained 0.013% against the dollar to 1.14031, while sterling slipped 0.117% to 1.33648 following data showing UK consumer inflation at 2.6% for June, below the 2.7% forecast.
