U.S. Crude Oil Output Falls Most Since January, Strategic Reserves Hit Lowest Level Since 1983

According to EIA data, as of the week ending July 17, U.S. domestic crude oil production declined at the steepest rate since the week of January 30, 2026. In the same period, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve inventory dropped to its lowest level since the week of March 25, 1983.
