U.S. Consumer Confidence Index Falls to 93.1 in May, Down from April's 93.8

According to the Conference Board, on May 26, the U.S. consumer confidence index fell to 93.1 in May, down from April's revised reading of 93.8. The index measuring consumer assessments of current business and employment conditions declined 3.2 points to 121.2.
