U.S. ADP Report Shows 25,500 Average Weekly Jobs Added; ECB Signals Inflation Pressures Persist on June 17

Meanwhile, ECB Chief Economist warned that inflation pressures remain in the region and that energy prices are unlikely to fall substantially; the central bank indicated it may raise rates again if evidence points to persistent inflation concerns. The Banque de France lowered its 2026 growth forecast for eurozone's second-largest economy to 0.5%, down from a prior estimate of 0.9%.
