UN Assembly Votes 136-9 to Debate Ending U.S. Embargo on Cuba on July 7

On July 7, the United Nations General Assembly voted to initiate debate on terminating the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial embargo against Cuba, according to voting results. The resolution received 136 votes in favor, 30 abstentions, and 9 votes against, with the United States among those opposed. China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that the international community's call for justice should be heard, and the U.S. should immediately cease the embargo and sanctions against Cuba.
