UK Regulator Orders Google to Allow Publishers to Opt Out of AI Search on June 3

According to the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the regulator ordered Google on June 3 to overhaul its artificial intelligence search service. Under the new rules, British website operators and publishers can opt out of Google's AI Overview feature to prevent their content and links from being automatically extracted by Google Search.
